PERMANENT MAKEUP

PERMANENT MAKEUP

APPOINTMENT ONLY

Includes Powder Brows and Lip Blush Tattoos!

Powder Brows are a great alternative to Microblading as it is suitable for all skin types since they are created with a tattoo machine rather than a handheld blade. Powder Brows leave you with a soft natural shape by using smooth shading to fill in the brow.

Lip Blush is a great way to even out color and correct asymmetry in the lips. It provides you with a very natural look, similar to lip tint. We are also able to add definition, dimension and create the appearance of fullness with this procedure!

  • For Lips:

    • Avoid foods and drinks that may stain the area and spicy food, hot liquids, and alcohol for at least 24-hours.

    • Use a straw when drinking.

    • If you develop a cold sore/fever blister/oral herpes outbreak, consult with your doctor. The virus will destroy the pigment in that area.

    • Do not allow the tattoo to become dried out. If the area become chapped or cracked, the color may heal patchily.

    • Remember, the area may be swollen and tender for up to 48-hours after the procedure.

    • Avoid pools, saltwater, and submerging your tattoo in water for at least two weeks after your tattoo.

    • If you plan on receiving chemical peels, laser treatments, or an MRI in the weeks following your tattoo, please inform your technician or doctor that you received a tattoo as these may cause irritation, burning, and discoloration of your tattoo.

  • • Continue applying thin layers of Aquaphor or similar products. Always make sure your hands are clean and dry when you touch your tattoo.

    • Do not apply makeup or skincare products aside from Aquaphor or similar products directly or around the area.

    • Your tattoo may feel rough or much darker than you anticipated, don’t panic! The tattoo will lighten as they heal.

    • Do not remove any scabs or flakes. Picking or biting them will result in color loss. Allow them to fall off naturally.

    • Do not exercise or participate in activities that will cause you to sweat.

    • Avoid saunas and steamy showers.

  • • Although each person heals differently, typically, your new tattoo may appear very light. As you move through the healing process, the color will become more visible. Around the 30-day mark, the final color will be visible.

    • Make sure to come back for your touch-up between 4 to 8 weeks. I will correct any areas that are light or haven’t healed optimally at that time.

    • Occasionally, additional touch-ups are necessary to achieve your desired results.

  • • Your tattoo will require continued care to keep it from fading. Products that contain anti-aging properties, sun exposure, and exfoliation treatments can/will lighten your tattoo and could cause it to become discolored. It is essential always to wear sunscreen and inform your doctors or skincare professionals to avoid that area. Also, if you have skin issues (such as oily skin) or are iron deficient, you may see fading faster than usual. Touch-ups are essential to keep your tattoo looking fresh!

    • You must follow our aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results vary for each client.Item description

FAQS

  • Yes, I only work with individuals 18-years old or older. Please be ready to present a valid ID at the time of your service! New York law prevents me from working on minors under any circumstances, including with a guardian present.

  • We do not accept walk-ins for permanent makeup services. We do allow you to book as little as 48-hours in advance, though, if there is availability.

  • Microblading uses a blade to put pigment into your skin and create hair strokes, whereas Powder Brows are done with a tattoo machine to create a soft powdery effect without hair strokes, giving a final look that is similar to makeup. Unlike Microblading, Powder Brows are also suitable for clients who have oily skin or large pores.

  • Cosmetic tattooing pigments can fade, but they are still a tattoo. Because these tattoos are more superficial, they may last three years or longer, but the pigment will never completely disappear. Skin type, choice of pigment color, sun exposure, and use of anti-aging products will affect how quickly your tattoo will fade. I recommend getting a touch-up at the 6 to 8-week mark, then every 1 to 3 years after (or whenever you notice fading). Permanent makeup requires a minimum of two sessions to complete; touch-ups are normal and expected.

  • Short answer, no. Permanent makeup will fade and can disappear altogether, but this is not the norm.

  • Due to natural fading, I recommend getting a touch-up at the 6 to 8-week mark, then every 1 to 3 years after (or whenever you notice fading). Permanent makeup requires a minimum of two sessions to complete; touch-ups are normal and expected. Touch-ups provides an opportunity to make any adjustments you'd like while also contributing to your tattoo's longevity. The initial price does not include touch-up sessions. You must book them between 6 to 8 weeks from the time of your first session to avoid extra fees. Please note: permanent makeup requires a minimum of two sessions to complete; touch-ups are normal and expected.

  • Any previous tattooing must be nearly invisible, and any scar tissue in the area from either tattooing or laser removal will significantly affect the outcome. I require a consultation or submission of pictures before booking in these cases. Please note: coverups may need more than two sessions to reach the desired result.

  • Typically, no, but each person is different. Some clients have a lower pain tolerance than others, but the topical anesthetic works on most people. If you feel any discomfort, you will let me know, and I will immediately address it.

  • All appointments take approximately 2 hours, including the initial consultation, designing the shape, numbing, and tattooing.

  • Excessive bleeding, smoking, sun exposure, and the use of anti-aging products will significantly affect the retention of pigment both in the short-term and throughout the life of your tattoo. All of these factors can and will affect how quickly your tattoo fades.

  • All cosmetic tattooing requires at least two sessions to see the final result, so you should book at least a month out from your final touch up appointment.

  • I take correction and touch-up work on a minimal basis. I require that anyone who has previous permanent makeup to come in for a consultation or submit photos before booking an appointment. If you book an appointment without disclosing previous cosmetic tattoo work, you will be charged a $50 late cancel fee, and your appointment canceled.
